How To Receive Peace From God

Writer: Talisa LaurayTalisa Lauray

The world is quickly shifting. Anxiety is at an all time high because of all of the changes happening. It seems like there has been bad breaking news almost every day. It's very disheartening to witness.

But God. God gives us peace in the midst of. How do we receive God's peace? We have to get to know God. When we know God we trust Him, believe Him and have peace that He is in control.

It's like dating someone. The initial meeting is usually not straight to someone's house nor do you let the individual come over your house. The first meeting is usually at a restaurant. You might even pay for your own food. If the conversation is good, then you start to talk and text each other more often. Eventually the more you get to know each other, you might have him pick you up from your house. You trust this person. Your peace about this person grows. If the relationship continues to grow you will eventually trust this person with your life by becoming one with this person. The trust you have in this person will lead to peace about the relationship. God's peace is even greater once we get to know Him and trust Him.

The Bible says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength."

Isaiah 26:3-4

Now is the time to strengthen your faith by getting closer to God by reading His word. By praying more. Join a church to get around other believers that are on the same path as you. Listen to church on online. YouTube is full of pastors. Listen to the messages that lead you to know God's word more.

God wants everyone to have His peace through everything. Things are going to get worse before they get better, it's in the Bible. However, do not fear because God's promises are also in the Bible. God is going to keep His people. Become one of His people today, as you read this. He will put a hedge of protection around you that even the devil knows he will not be able to break without God's permission. (Job chapter 1).

I'm going to leave you with this scripture and I hope it gives you peace. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says, "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."

Prayer:

Dear Lord, please heal everyone dealing with anxiety. I pray everyone will have the desire to get to know You more. I pray everyone will receive Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them so much peace that others will ask and desire Your peace through them. The world needs Your peace God. We need to spread it like wild fires.

Cover us Lord, cover our families, our health, our finances. Help us to be the light in the dark world.

In Jesus name, Amen.
